| President Sarkozy of France recently asked ten teams of leading architects to re-imagine Paris as a city fully integrated with the natural environment. Plans include urban forests. Designers, like Patrick Blanc who designs vertical gardens, claim that plants offer benefits, including noise reduction, natural cooling, air conditioning and a psychological boost to those who use the buildings. Richard Sabin of BioTecture just made a wall that incorporates all kinds of salads leaves, such as pak choi and lettuce. NASA takes plants into space to help clean the air instead of air conditioning. This is not the future, this is now. Visionaries predict vertical farms where residents could grow and harvest their food from the walls of their homes, wow!

Green culture No Comments

| Every June – at our Dutch village called Warder – a wonderful Oldtimer Tractor Parade is organised. I think these beautiful Porsches, Fiat’s and John Deeres should drive through the centre of Amsterdam. Just for fun and for some green culture.
