mizrahi

Ten leading designers have been commissioned by the Cooper-Hewitt museum NYC to develop new uses for sustainably grown and harvested materials in order to tell a unique story about the life-cycle of materials and the power of conservation and design. The exhibition, called ‘Design for a Living World’  is designed by Abbott Miller (Pentagram). Isaac Mizrahi was challenged to design clothes using pure salmon skin. For a perfect mix between ecology and glamour he asked a Parisian artisan to produce paillettes out of the leathery salmon skin. Nice!
