In 1618 peat was found in the Northern Netherlands and shipbuilding companies florished along its canals. Today the area is a barren agricultural landscape, that will be changed into a green living space. Id&Ad came up with five concepts: Future – Green – Lee – Best Neighbours – The Seigniory. The Motor designed a big fat  brand book with imaginary residents, future buildings and the greenest energy. Because the main industry in the area is potato flour, of which cardboard can be produced, we suggested to build houses of cardboard, inspired by Shigeru Ban (R)

To show ‘a pioneer’s soul in harmony with the environment’, we collected the pioneer plants that will inhabit the area in the next couple of years and out of those we created typographical logos and symbols.

In the area lies one beautiful little historical village called Kiel Windeweer. We used the landscape with the canal and the different sized captains houses and farms as inspiration for the logo.
