Underwater future

|Because of the financial crisis most fashion designers are careful in spring 2010. Not my favorite designer of this time: Alexander McQueen. His work is visionary and wilder than ever. The way he is embracing new computer technologies puts him at the leading edge of change. His reptile-patterned, digitally printed dresses reflect an apocalyptic forecast of the future ecological meltdown of the world. These mermaid-dresses are made up of creatures that evolved from the sea, heading back to an underwater future as the ice cap dissolves. Post from October 8th, 09.
