Protest against doing what is expected

|In China a year has 360 days. In this installation 360 paintings are made from Googled images. Each day a car painter near Kassel sprays a monochrome finish on top of one image, crossing it out. In this way, the artist establishes a kind of finitude: history is sealed up and denied for eternity. This installation is a symbolic protest against easy entertainment. Art Yan Lei Exhibition Documenta 13, Documenta-Halle
