Slingshot to earth

|The movie Melancholia is so very beautiful, intense and enigmatic with images from space and the prelude to Wagner’s Tristan & Isolde (in some scenes, the film was edited in the same pace as the music). During a therapy session of the depressive director himself, the therapist told him that depressive people tend to act more calmly than others under heavy pressure, because they already expect bad things to happen. Love the beautiful photography: a team of 19 graphic artists worked on the opening scene for three months. Director Lars von Trier
