Best 3D-print of 2015

|I just visited the exhibition of one of Holland’s most promising designers. This project was inspired by the beauty of the huge clouds of European starlings in autumn. The computer-simulated bird cloud was generated by a 3D-flight simulation program, and converted into a self-supporting 3D-structure made of 25,000 starlings. Because of the huge file size, the designers could not predict nor see the results before it was 3D-printed. Design Joris Laarman Exhibition Groninger Museum, until April 16, 2016
